Mr. Thomas Stewart Neilson age 81 of Gainesville passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2024. He was born December 10, 1942, in Wick, Scotland, United Kingdom to Thomas and Alice (Nicol) Neilson. Mr. Neilson served in the British Armed Forces, Royal Signals and retired as a dispatch officer for the U.S. State Department. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth (Powers) Neilson. Mr. Neilson leaves behind his children Margaret Hamer (Charles Hamer) of Gainesville and Andrew Neilson (Sara Mangiaracina Neilson) of Takoma Park, MD. Also left behind is his sister Frances Dryburgh (Eric Dryburgh) of Glasgow, Scotland and two precious grandchildren. There are no scheduled services at this time.
