It is with a cocktail of bittersweet emotions that we announce the passing of my darling mother, Sharon Lynn Grant. Born in the summer of 1947 in the quaint town of Royersford, PA, Sharon was the embodiment of all things lovely, cultured, and full of life. A dedicated woman who, up until her retirement in 2015, served as the backbone of Davis and Fernandez Attorneys at Law as their secretary. But above all, she was a generous soul whose spirit will continue to dance in the music she loved, the recipes she baked, and the gardens she tended.
Sharon's life was like the classical music she adored; it had its highs and lows, but it was harmonious and beautiful in its entirety. She was a talented seamstress, crafting her clothes with the same thoughtful precision she applied to every aspect of her life. A lover of nature and fine arts, her passions took her on adventures from the shores of Flagler Beach, Fl to the mountainous landscapes of the Blue Ridge Parkway. As Erma Bombeck once said, "When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, 'I used everything you gave me'". My mother, Sharon, lived these words every day, sharing her talents with everyone she met, from her colleagues at the University of Florida to her church community.
Along with her love for music, her affinity for culture led her to shows like Rick Steves Europe, and the humor of David Letterman and James Corden brought her great joy. She was a beacon of light who loved to laugh, and her love for life was contagious. Her lemon trees, orange trees, and shrimp plants were a testament to her nurturing nature. Sharon was a true embodiment of the quote, "Life is what you bake of it". She baked cookies for church, nurtured her garden, and sewed love into the fabric of our lives.
Sharon is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Lynda Stauffer; her step-child, Jennifer Grant; her brother-in-law, Bob Stauffer; her sisters, Judy Sheetz and Marilyn Knight; and her nieces, Karen Lewis and Barbara Flynn. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Beatrice Bean. The celebration of Sharon's life will be under the meticulous care of Milam Funeral and Cremation Services at 311 S. Main Street.
Sharon's life was a beautiful symphony of love, laughter, and generosity. She was a dedicated woman, a generous soul, and a thoughtful friend. Her memory will continue to inspire us, her love will continue to guide us, and her laughter will continue to echo in our hearts. We invite you to cherish Sharon's memory by sharing your stories, photos, and memories on her memorial page. May her spirit continue to inspire us all.
