Ronald Bunker

Ronald L. Bunker was born on March 31, 1941 and died on July 19, 2026. He was 85. Ron graduated from Kent State University with a B.A. in English, and University of Illinois with a M.A. in Dance & Theater. Ron lived most of his life in New York City where he was a theater and office manager. He managed 3 Off-Broadway theaters: Promenade Theatre, Cherry Lane Theater and Sheridan Square Playhouse. Upon retirement, Ron moved to Gainesville, FL. He became office manager of Tillman Hartley LLC for 9 years, where he was beloved for his good humour and competence. Ron managed all the books and answered the phone in the early years for the Gainesville Community Foundation (Now the Community Foundation of North Central Florida). Ron leaves behind his long life partner, Charles Fenstermaker. A Meet and Greet will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026 at Milam Celebration Center, 22405 Newberry Rd, Newberry, Fl 32669, from noon to 2pm. Following will be a short graveside ceremony at 3pm at Rosemary Hill Cemetery in Bronson, FL. There will be a zoom link from Noon to 2pm for the Greet and Meet.
