ROBERT A. POZDOL Obituary (1948 - 2013)

Robert A. Pozdol Robert A. Pozdol, age 64 of Gainesville, FL passed away on Saturday May 25, 2013 in Gainesville, FL. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on August 1, 1948. Mr. Pozdol served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds received in combat. He worked as an HVAC Technician in the heating and air conditioning industry at Baxter and Motorola. Bob was a lifetime member of the VFW. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and a caring and selfless friend. He will be sorely missed by those that knew him. He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Pozdol and his mother, Katherine Pozdol, as well as his brother, Dick Pozdol and sister, Sharon Pozdol. Survivors include his wife, Linda Guenther Pozdol; daughter, Tracy Fikert (Joe) of Lake Wales, FL; sons, Michael (Jeannie) Pozdol of Frostproof, FL, Robert (Vikki) Rogers of Ocoee, FL, David Rogers of Davie, FL, and Jeff Rogers of Gainesville, FL, He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Graveside Services with military honors will be held at on Friday, June 7, 2013 at the Forest Meadows East Cemetery.
