L. A. Mott, Jr. Obituary (1938 - 2016)

MOTT, L. A. Jr. 78, passed away at his home in Jacksonville, FL, Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2016. L.A. was born Jan. 10, 1938, in Brooker, FL, to L.A. "Shine" Mott Sr. and Cordella Brown Mott. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Janie Alice "Jill" Whitehead Mott. Survivors include two sisters, Sandra Jergins and Jacqueline Brown; three children, Deborah Cale, Richard (Lisa Abbott) Mott, and Todd (Rebecca Haynes) Mott; and five grandchildren, Sam (Sarah Moyer) Cale, Laurie Cale, Thomas Cale, Ben Mott, and Emma Grace Mott. A memorial service will be held at 10 am Saturday, Aug. 27, at the Julington Creek Church of Christ, 1630 State Road 13 North, St. Johns, FL.
