Loving Mother & Grandmother

Judith Karin Newell died peacefully of natural causes on January 27, 2025. She was 82 years old and a resident of Gainesville for over 50 years. She was born and raised in Pennsylvania and Virginia before moving to Florida. Judy was a licensed dietician and provided care and hospice support to many local residents.
She provided love and support for her 2 children and 3 grandchildren throughout their lives and she will remain lovingly remembered, gratefully appreciated, and deeply missed.
Judy is survived by her siblings: Suzanne McCann and Michael McCann; her loving children: Karin Weinrich and Ryan Foote; and by her grandchildren: Mary Weinrich Mickelson, Michael Weinrich and Timothy Foote.
Judy was recently a resident of Charter Senior Living of Gainesville where she was kindly and respectfully cared for during her final days.
Services will be held on Saturday February 1, 2025 at 1 p.m. at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church at 9700 West Newberry Road, in Gainesville. In remembrance of Judy and in lieu of flowers, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
