Lakeland, Florida
With a heavy heart and profound admiration, Jorge Luis Morales-Solis has gone home to be with the Lord on 9/21/26. I, Elianys, remember my beloved grandfather, better known as Jorge Morales or affectionately as Juni. Born on June 12, 1965, in the picturesque town of, Marín, Patillas, Puerto Rico, Jorge was a man whose heart was as warm and welcoming as the island he hailed from. He lived a life that was nothing short of colorful, full of thoughtfulness, humor, love, and creativity. Although he suffered much in his life he never changed who he was.
Jorge moved to Lancaster, PA, before finally settling in Lakeland, Florida. His 16 years in Lakeland were enriched with moments that defined his life and the lives of those around him. He was a man who embraced every day with a sense of purpose and optimism. His charisma was endearing, his laughter infectious, and his mind an endless fountain of creativity, “Jack of ALL trades”. Jorge, in his unique and loving way, filled our lives with joy.
Family mattered most to Jorge. He was a beacon of support to his mother, Margarita Morales-Solis, and his daughter Marilin Morales. Despite the geographical distance, he held a deep connection with his grandkids. Although separated (Sol Plaza), his marital bond remained unbroken. He carried the love for his family in his heart, a love so profound that it continues to guide us even now.
Jorge’s life is a testament to the words found in Proverbs 17:17, "A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity." As we celebrate Jorge's life, we remember him not just as a family member, but as a friend, a confidante, and a pillar of strength.
Jorge is survived by his mother Margarita Morales, his daughters, Marilin Morales, Margarita Morales, Ivonne Gonzalez, his Son Jorge Morales-Plaza and grandchildren Elianys, Solymar, Iviany, Joshua(Piruly), Marilyn, Jadiel, Steven, Alejandro, Jemily, Adriel, Aviani, Adrian and we can’t forget Sofia. His brothers Hector (Dina) Colon, Angel (Glisset) Betancourt, Ricardo (Teresa) Morales, Eric (Brenda) Morales, his brother in-law Abraham Pagan and all of his nephews and nieces and we can’t forget his dog and loyal friend Oreo/Palomo.
Jorge was preceded in death by his daughter Iliana Morales-Vega, his sisters Nitza Pagan, Blanca Morales and his father, Anastasio Morales-Rodriguez, his grandfathers and grandmothers.
