Joe "Jody" Jenkins IV

Joe Clint (Jody) Jenkins, IV, age 46, Newberry, Florida died Saturday, April 27, 2024. Jody was born in Daytona Beach, Florida on July 23, 1977, and lived most of his life in Gainesville, Florida. Jody was a graduate of The Sidney Lanier Center in Gainesville. Jody began fishing when he was very young and maintained that love throughout his life. He was a lifelong Gator fan regardless of the sport. He was a Music-man. Most of all he was a teacher. His love and positive attitude influenced every person he met. When Jody was 5-years old, he was baptized at his favorite lake in Melrose, FL. His grandfather, Joe C. Jenkins, Jr. dipped water from the lake in a Gator cup and Rev. Ross Mackenzie (retired First Presbyterian Church) conducted the service. Jody’s parents, J. Clint, III, Joyce, sister Liz, and nephews Ian and Flynn will miss him forever. Jody’s large world of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and friends will stumble with his absence, but we will all get up again and rejoice with such fond memories of him. The Family gives special thanks to Kelly Royse, Laura Kinney, Robin Jones, Latoya and Germaine Diaz, and the Staff of TenderCare Group Home for their love, attention, and care for Jody. They have been a blessing to the Jenkins Family. Jody’s wish would be to hug often, be kind and respectful, and love each other with no reservations.
