Jean Wood Crow

CROW, Jean Wood of Gainesville, died Friday, March 20, at Oak Hammock at the University of Florida. She was born in St. Petersburg, Nov. 2, 1920 to Dr. Alvin James Wood & Florence Emery Wood. She moved to Gainesville in 1942 after graduating Phi Beta Kappa from Florida State College for Women, where she was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Brent Crow, sister, Frances W. Shafer; and brother, Dr. Rowland E. Wood, both of St. Petersburg. Survivors include daughters Paulette Crow O'Connor (Jim) of Panama City, Daryl Anne Crow Cummings (Don) of Gainesville, Patti Crow Reed (John) of Athens, GA and Leslie Crow Elliott (Robert ) of Tampa; sister-in-law Mary Moeller of St. Petersburg; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First United Methodist Church of Gainesville or the Methodist Children's Home in Enterprise, FL.
