Elaine (Lampariello) Sears

Elaine (Lampariello) Sears died on February 21, 2023 at her home in Gainesville, FL. Elaine was the loving wife of Melvin Sears for 52 years and the daughter of Grace and Alexander Lampariello. She is survived by her brother, Alexander (Jaye) Lampariello, Jr., of Groveland, MA, and her sister, Genevieve (Edmund) Vasseur of Palm Coast, FL.Elaine grew up in Andover, MA and was a 1967 graduate of Andover High School. She was a flutist with the Andover High School all-girl marching band and the school orchestra. In 1965, Elaine was the original lead singer with the all-girl rock and roll band, The Frauleins.In 1998, after decades working as an accountant, Elaine changed her life path and became a certified Kripalu Yoga teacher. From 1998 to 2006, Elaine was the co-owner and co-director of the Yoga Connection in Plymouth, MA and then taught privately in her home from 2007 to 2014. In 2014, Elaine and her husband moved to Gainesville, FL, where she continued to teach Yoga as a volunteer at the UF Senior Recreation Center until 2019. Through the years, Elaine studied with many prominent yoga teachers, but always considered her students to be her best teachers.
