Drema Darlene Palmer

–

Gainesville, Florida

It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Drema Darlene Palmer, a compassionate, loving, and generous soul known for her radiant smile and her deep love for family, friends, and, of course, her beloved puppies. Born on December 17, 1952, in Welch, West Virginia, Drema graced this world with her presence for nearly 73 years. She passed away peacefully on October 28, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, generosity, and kindness.

For over three decades, Drema was a beacon of community spirit as the much-loved "Avon Lady." She was smart, dedicated, and hardworking, pouring her heart and soul into building her business. Her dedication was recognized with multiple district sales awards and Mrs. Albee Awards, a testament to her place among the top representatives in the President's club. Yet, beyond her professional accomplishments, Drema's true calling was her family. She was a loving and devoted mother to me, her son Jason, working tirelessly to ensure my life was filled with joy and opportunity. Her compassion extended to her adored puppies, Dayzee and Sweet Pea, who were truly part of the family.

Drema's love for life was infectious, and her hobbies reflected her vibrant spirit. She was an avid shopper, delighting in the unique finds from towns near and far. Her home was a treasure trove of Barbie dolls, a collection that began in her childhood and grew to hold over a thousand pieces. Yet, despite her many interests, what mattered most to Drema were the relationships she cultivated, the love she shared, and the joy she brought into the lives of those around her.

A service to honor and celebrate Drema's life will be held at Milam Funeral and Cremation Services, located at 311 South Main Street, Gainesville, Florida, 32601, on Saturday, November 8, 2025. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm EST, with the funeral service commencing at 2:00 pm EST. Drema is survived by her son, Jason Palmer, and was preceded in death by her father, Roy Wells, mother, Daisy Kirby, and brothers, Rodney and Roger Wells.

As we mourn the loss of Drema, we take comfort in the words of Matthew 5:4, "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted." Drema's memory lives on in the hearts of those she touched. We invite you to join us in celebrating her life by sharing your stories, memories, and photos on her memorial page. Her spirit, her generosity, and her love will forever be a part of our lives, and we cherish the time we had with her.
