High Springs, Florida
It is with a sense of joy for a life well-lived that we celebrate the life of Clifton Shane Rowland, better known to his friends, family, and community as Shane or by his affectionate nicknames, "Fish" or "Catfish". Shane was born on January 6, 1979, in Gainesville, FL, and passed away on February 21, 2025. He was a proud resident of High Springs, Florida, where he had lived for the last three years.
Shane was a man full of life, love, and laughter. He was a funny soul who always had a joke or a humorous story to brighten someone's day. His loving nature was evident to all those who knew him, especially his close-knit family and his loyal dog, Pepper. Shane's thoughtful demeanor was a comfort to those around him, and his creative mind was always at work, evident in his profession as a self-employed welder for 20+ years. An avid outdoorsman, Shane loved hunting and fishing, activities that brought him close to nature and provided him with countless hours of joy and tranquility.
Shane is survived by his loving family; his father, Gene Rowland; his mother, Barbara Rowland; his sister, Robin Bishop; and his brother Justin Rowland. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him, but they will cherish the memories they made together. As it says in the Bible, "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted" (Matthew 5:4). Heaven has another angel. As we mourn Shane's passing, let us also remember and celebrate his beautiful spirit, which continues to bring us comfort and joy.
Shane's life will be honored under the care of Milam Funeral and Cremation Services at 311 S. Main Street. His family invites you to share your memories and upload photos of Shane to the memorial page, a space created to celebrate his life and legacy. It is a chance to remember Shane as he was - a funny, loving, thoughtful, and creative man who touched the lives of all those around him.
