Carl Davenport

Carl Davenport, age 72 of Gainesville, Florida passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2026. Mr. Davenport was born August 84 1953 in the Panama Canal Zone to Stanley Deane Davenport and Dorothy D’Angio Davenport.

He was preceded in death by his father and is survived by his mother, Dorothy Davenport, his sister Karen (Larry) McDougal, his nieces Alicia (Miguel) Pajares, their daughters Alma and Flora, Natalie (Zach) Winkler, and their daughter Luna.

Carl graduated from Bladensburg High School in Bladensburg, Maryland and attended Southwest Missouri State College. As a young man he enjoying waterskiing and fishing. Later in life he enjoyed birdwatching and spending time with his family and friends.

Funeral interment will be at Forest Meadows-Central Cemetery, 4100 NW 39th Ave, Gainesville, Florida on Friday, May 22, 2026 at 11:00 AM. A memorial service will be held at Magnolia Ridge Rehabilitation Center, 6517 NW 39th Ave, Gainesville, Florida on Sunday, May 24, 2026 at 11:00 AM.
